Access keys

An access key is a keyboard shortcut, usually a letter or number that links to a page or an area in a page. An access key is always associated with a link, so activating an access key has the same effect as clicking a link.

If you are using Windows, hold down the 'Alt' key on the keyboard, then press the access key associated with a link. Release the keys and press 'Enter'. This will activate the link.

If you are using a Mac, carry out the same procedure but using the 'Ctrl' key instead of the 'Alt' key.

There are several access keys available for use on this site:

  • 'Alt' or 'Ctrl' + '0' links to this access keys information.
  • 'Alt' or 'Ctrl' + '1' links to the home page (www.digbyswift.com/).
  • 'Alt' or 'Ctrl' + '2' skips to the main content on each page.

Opera users should press Shift and Escape together and then once released press the access key.

Netscape browsers before version 7 do not support access keys.

Browsers

This site has been constructed to work on almost all modern browsers and degrade well in text-only (Lynx) or older browsers (Internet Explorer 4, Netscape 4).
